Participants

The Chinese team consists of hard core long distance riders that are trained and young enough to withstand the hardships of this monumental ride that covers 12.000 klms and will last for over four consecutive months of constant cycling. They come from different parts of China and share the same passion for cycling as well as studying together in the same University of Huazhong.

Their preparation for this trip has taken over a year of hard training and they are adapted themselves to the conditions of the route such as high attitude riding and long cycling rides.

The Chinese team has brought with them to Greece the message of unity, friendship peace and colaboration of the Chinese people to all the people of Greece. Before they will depart for the ride of their life time they will travel to all regions of Greece to pass on that message.

The Greek members of the team will include cyclists with physical disabilities. Together, via their love of cycling, they will bring to China a message of peace and friendship and raise awareness of the special needs of those with physical disabilities.

	Chen Ke (Captain) is from Sichuan province, a graduate of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and has organized hundreds of rides throughout China including a 2100 kilometer ride from Xining, Qinghai Province to Lhasa, Tibet. He estimates that he has ridden a total of about 200,000 kilometers. Chen Ke is 24 years old.
	Dai Wei (Vice Captain) is from Hu'nan province and a graduate of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He was one of the pioneers of the University's Expedition Association and has cycled to Lhasa, Tibet from Lanzhou along the Qingzang Road. Nothing makes Dai Wei happier than being on a bicycle. He is 23 years old.
	Li Xiaoya (Accountant, Medic) is from Hubei province and is a student at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She loves traveling, cycling and living life to its fullest. She has traveled extensively throughout China and the ride from Athens to Beijing fulfills her dream of seeing and experiencing other cultures. Li Xiaoya is 20 years old.
	Yang Jianying (Mechanic) is from Hubei province and has been at Huazhong University of Science and Technology since 2005. His longest ride was 2200 kilometers from Lhasa, Tibet to Chengdu, Sichuan. He says that the best part about traveling is all the wonderful people one meets along the way. He is 20 years old.
	Liu jia (Photographer) is from Hubei province and graduated from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2007. He love to travel, take photographs, play football and of course, cycle. In addition to many long-distance cycling journeys Liu jia has also participated in long-distance hiking treks. He speaks both English and French and is 22 years old.
	Yang Weizhi (Cashier) is from Hubei province and since 2005 he has been studying architecture at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In addition to looking forward to some great cycling he's also hoping to learn more about architecture along the way as he encounters a variety of architectual traditions. He is 22 years old.
	Μο Χανγί: Είναι φανατικός στα σπόρ του μπάσκετ, της παγοδρομίας και φυσικά της ποδηλασίας. Tο πάθος του για ταξείδια τον οδήγησε να λάβει μέρος σε αυτήν τήν πεντάμηνη ποδηλατική περιπέτεια διάσχισης της Ασίας και το θεωρεί σαν ένα όνειρο που γίνεται πραγματικότητα. Ο Μο Χανγί είναι είκοσι τεσσάρων ετών.
