Ïrganizers

The organizer of this amazing ride is the Hellenic Cycling Organization, a private cycling events organization which has been designing and organizing cycling tours and events in Greece and abroad since 2000.
The Hellenic Cycling Ïrganization is a non-profit entity consisting of experienced Greek and foreign veteran cyclists whose principals have participated in the organization of other international cycling events, such as Follow the Women and Greece-Turkey Bike Ride for Peace, Friendship and against Global Warming and the Peace Cycle.
In addition to promoting cycling as an alternative, earth-friendly mode of transport, the Hellenic Cycling Organization organizes alternative travel tours and events and has been named as one of the Best Cycling Outfitters on Earth by National Geographic Adventure in its first-of-its-kind November, 2007 survey of adventure travel outfitters.
The Hellenic Cycling Organization participates and organizes in social awareness events and programs that promote cycling as the ideal ecofriendly transportation method as well as programs focused on the protection of the planet.
In Greece, the Hellenic Cycling Organization sponsors and participates in projects that support the preservation of Greek heritage and culture and the protection of the country's pristine natural environment.

In support of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, The Hellenic Cycling Organization and the participating cyclists are honored to bring to Beijing the Adonis Papadopoulou documentary "The Man Who Won Life." This moving film is based on the life of Kostas Bloutis, an amazing man and the "heart and soul" of the Greek Paralympics. |
